Harvest Festival - St. Paul's Church, Kandy

This very special event of thanksgiving for our harvest is celebrated at St Paul’s as a - bring and buy sale, mainly as the church remains an urban parish. The day began with a Service of Thanksgiving for the harvest. The parishioner fulfilled their duty towards the parish, to the best of their ability and thereby

depicts the unity and their tireless work. At the service during the offertory a gift from every stall is offered for blessing and at the end of the worship the clergy walk round blessing all the stalls before the sales begin.

The stalls are separated for vegetables and fruits, plants, Potatoes and other products, outreach, needle

work, Jams and Chutneys, breakfast and lunch, books and games. The Youth run the miscellaneous stall. We thank God and all our parishioners for this wonderful contribution in making this event successful.
