Youth Fellowship
The Harvest Festival
On the 7th of September the members of the Fellowship
combined their efforts to make the Harvest Festival Games Stall a
success. Taking over the games stall as always, the youth
managed to raise over Rs. 9000 from the raffle draw, Lucky-dip
and other
games.
The raffle draw was a huge success (where people
have to guess the exact number of marbles in the plastic jar) and the winner of the raffle draw was none other than Rev. Neil Van Dort himself who was the person who guessed the nearest to the exact figure (the exact number of marbles were 195 and his guess was 191). Congratulations Rev. Neil!
The girls managed to put together a 'girl's corner' where they
sold jewellery and gift items. The St. Paul's Youth t-shirt was also
available and many generous parishioners bought t-shirts from
the stall. Those of you who would like to purchase a t-shirt please
contact a youth member for further details. I would like to thank
Rev. Lalith and all those who supported us in various ways to
organize the games stall.
Future Events
The Youth Fellowship is in the process of organizing an one-day trip for the coming month. We hope that the youth interested
will join us for a day of fellowship and fun. We also intend to
organize a car wash in the parish premises and to take part in the
Christ Church and St. Paul's Church joint youth cricket match.
We are searching for avenues to serve God in our own parish and
community and thus would be delighted to take advice given by
willing parishioners whom we consider our spiritual guides. Any
youth who is not a member of the St. Pauls Youth Fellowship is
welcome to join us.
